Will Smith has received praise after it was revealed that he wrote a heartwarming letter to Jada Pinkett Smith in response to her new memoir, ‘Worthy’.
The 52-year-old actress has been sharing revelations with fans, announcing that she and her husband Will have already been separated for seven years.
It seems the Men in Black actor has been her number one fan as he sent her a heartwarming letter after the release of her memoir.
In an interview on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, the host read a letter that Will wrote to his wife in response to the release of her new memoir.
“I applaud and honor you. If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would’ve hugged you more,” Shetty said in the episode’s teaser.
“I’ll start now. Welcome to the Authors Club. I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and take a rest.”
The actress laughed and said: “He know (sic) I can’t have no Merlot.”
Jada then got emotional about Will’s words, saying: “That’s beautiful. That’s why I can’t divorce that joker.”
After watching the teaser video, many people were quick to take to social media to praise the Fresh of Bel Air actor.
One person wrote: “Will is so sweet. That touched me. In hindsight I’ve always loved these two despite their weird way of marriage.”
Another said: “This is definitely unconditional love. I really applaud Will because it’s not easy. All of you clowning Willard should take a step back.”
A third added: “Will Smith is the definition of unconditional love.”
Speaking of her memoir in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Jada said that she and Will were ‘still figuring things out.’
“We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us,” she expressed.
