JUST IN: Whoopi Goldberg, 68, Has Slammed Dolly Parton Critics Who Say She Should ‘Dress Her Age’ Following Thanksgiving Performance


Whoopi Goldberg did not hold back as she slammed those who have been criticizing Dolly Parton over her performance during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game.

The 77-year-old singer sported her rendition of the iconic Cowboy’s cheerleader uniform and wore a bedazzled mesh catsuit that covered her skin to give her a glowing factor.

But critics were quick to take to social media to express their thoughts, telling the Jolene singer that she should ‘dress her own age.’

Goldberg has now defended the legendary singer during a recent episode of ‘The View.’

“Apparently, my turkey wasn’t the only thing online that people were hating,” Goldberg said. “Seventy-seven-year-old superstar Dolly Parton stole the show on Thanksgiving at the Cowboys/Commanders game dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, but some critics told her to act her age.

“Bite me.”

Sunny Hostin then said: “If I looked like that in one of them Cowboy things, I might have everything out.”

She also pointed at a photo from the singer’s performance and said: “I don’t know if that’s a belly ring or what, but I want what she has.”

Before her performance, Parton expressed how grateful she was to be partnering with The Salvation Army.

In a statement, the singer said: “Those Red Kettles have long been a symbol of hope for our friends and neighbors who are facing hard times.

“My goal is to encourage everyone who can to donate and support their neighbors in need. Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond.”

This comes after she released her 49th studio album, which became her best-performing album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Parton said of her achievement: “I owe a thank you to the fans who have always been there for me. Their support made this achievement possible. I’d also like to thank my producer Kent Wells, all the wonderful artists, musicians, and engineers who brought their talents to this project.”
