A man has sparked a lengthy debate after two children were left in tears because he refused to let them go in front of him as the ride was closing for the day.

In the viral TikTok video, the man can be seen standing next to a model of a Formula 1 racing car. He looked extremely excited to experience the race simulator. Behind him were two children who missed the sign that the ride closes at 4:55 pm.

The man wrote over the clip: “When they say you’re the last one able to ride today and you deny the little kid behind you asking to trade places.”

The camera also showed the children in tears after being told that the man already took the last ride while the TikTok user was smiling in the car.

His video has been viewed by more than 9 million people and has received over 6,400 comments.

His decision to leave the two children crying has sparked a debate on the social media platform.

One TikToker wrote: “Gotta teach them you don’t always get what you want in life!”

Another said: “The kid probably wouldn’t have remembered the experience, and they’re not even old enough to drive.”

A third said: “Me (for real) but don’t film random and put them online.”

While many condemned the man for his actions, many have shown their support, with one writing: “I would do the same not gonna miss out on the F1 test drive lol.”

Another said: “This is a valuable ‘life’s not fair’ moment.”

Someone else added: “Kids need to know they won’t get everything all the time and it’s okay!!”
