JUST IN: Fans Left DEVASTATED As Hollywood Icon Tippi Hedren ‘Can’t Remember Her Career’ After Being Diagnosed With Dementia


Fans of Hollywood star Tippi Hedren were left heartbroken as her representatives revealed that she ‘can’t remember her career’ after she was diagnosed with dementia.

The veteran star gained popularity after she starred in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds in 1963 and won a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year.

She also starred alongside Sean Connery in the 1964 psychological drama Marnie.

Spanish journalist Gustavo Egusquiza said that he found out about Hedren’s condition after he requested for an interview, the Daily Mail reported.

The star’s team said that she “is no longer able to be interviewed due to health reasons.”

“She has dementia, and is unable to remember her career at all,” her representatives reportedly said, adding: “She just turned 94, so unfortunately, time has taken its toll.”

The journalist described the news as ‘devastating news for Tippi Hedren’s fans worldwide.’

Egusquiza also told the publication: “Unfortunately, her agent confirmed to me that Tippi is dealing with dementia and is unable to remember her career. It is a difficult situation for her and her family.”

Hedren is the mother of Melanie Griffith and is a grandmother to Stella Banderas, Jesse Johnson, Alexander Bauer, and Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson.

The actress celebrated her 94th birthday in January, with Melanie sharing a sweet tribute on Instagram, writing: “Yesterday Mom aka MorMor turned 94!! Always up for a party! Happy Birthday, Mama Tippi.”

Hedren maintained a close relationship with her daughter and they even shared the screen numerous times.

When Melanie received the timeless beauty award at the 2nd Annual Hollywood Beauty Awards in 2016, she told the crowd: “Really, I would like to say that this should be for my mom, who’s right there.
