1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her husband Caleb William after he died at the age of 40.
Taking to Instagram, the TLC star posted photos of her and her other half as she expressed her sorrow at the sudden loss.
She thanked Willingham for introducing her to real happiness and love after they first met at an Ohio weight loss rehabilitation last year.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Slaton described their wedding day as ‘magical’ and ‘perfect’ with ‘so much love in the room.’
On Saturday, the reality TV star shared images from their first and last Christmas together, writing: “Rip sweet angel… you will forever be missed and loved so much…thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness.”
The 36-year-old also said in a statement to PEOPLE: “I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly.”
She continued: “When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Willingham’s brother also paid a heartfelt tribute to Caleb, writing on Facebook: “I can’t believe I’m even making this post, but today GOD called my big brother home. R.I.P. Caleb Willingham… You will be forever loved and missed. Until we meet again.”
Shirley Willingham, his stepmother, also confirmed the heartbreaking news to TMZ.
Tributes for Willingham have been pouring in online, with one person writing: “So very sorry for all…stay strong on your journey Tammy.”
Another said: “So sad and he was so young. My condolences to Tammy and his family.”
