A 32-year-old husband has shared how his sister-in-law exposed his cheating over their family lunch but it immediately backfired on her.
Sharing his story on Reddit, the man explained that he and his wife was in a hiking accident years ago and she was left so injured that she could no longer use her limbs.
“I love my wife very much and I will never divorce her. We have two very young kids that need us both. Also, my work provides us with medical insurance which obviously is very important to us,” he wrote.
“The crux of the matter comes down to s*x. My wife cannot have s*x. Not any kind,” the husband continued.
He said he had no plans to leave his wife but it led to a fight and he admitted that he still had physical needs.
His wife then decided to find women with whom he could have his physical needs fulfilled without any emotional attachment.
“It was a private decision that we made together,” he said. “And as far as I’m concerned it should have stayed private.”
His sister-in-law then moved in with them to attend university. Everything was going well until one evening when the father-of-two went out to meet a woman his wife had arranged.
“My sister-in-law was supposed to watch the kids. Instead, she got one of her friends to watch them and she followed me. She saw me go meet a woman and go up to a hotel room. She took pictures,” he explained.
Instead of confronting him or talking to her sister, she decided to broadcast it to the entire family over lunch.
“I was pissed. My wife was furious and embarrassed. My in-laws were getting ready to kick my a** until my wife spoke up and explained everything. Nobody is really okay with it but it wasn’t what they thought. But now everyone knows something very private about us that we didn’t want publicized,” he said.
After forcing the sister-in-law to leave their home, she is now begging them to come back as she has to travel four hours a day.
“Am I the a***ole for kicking her out?” the husband asked.
Reddit users assured the couple that they shouldn’t feel guilty for kicking the sister-in-law out of the house.
One person commented: “Never a hero to stage that kind of confrontation at Christmas in front of everyone. Even if it were true, imagine how much more traumatizing that would have been for the wife? Ugh, what a snot the sister is.”
Another said: “Your sister-in-law invaded your privacy and chose to publicly shame you instead of addressing the issue privately. It is understandable that you no longer want her to live with you after such a breach of trust”
