Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari made headlines after he filed for divorce from the superstar in Los Angeles Superior Court.

It was in 2006 when the Iranian immigrant moved to the US with his father, leaving behind his mother and three siblings.

According to reports, he started out as a college football player but after he was removed from the team, he was forced to take three jobs while studying criminal justice.

At 19 years old, he worked as a Best Buy clerk, nightclub bouncer, and Gold’s Gym sales representative.

Asghari was getting only 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night that he ended up eating unhealthy foods to get him through long and exhausting days that he eventually tipped the scales at 290lbs.

“I was eating Doritos for breakfast, fast food, sugar, candy, no protein, a lot of carbs, and drinking sugary sodas,” he told Men’s Health.

“My nutrition was extremely horrible. The stress and the fear of not going anywhere [in life] combined gave me my depression.”

In 2013, he decided to turn a new leaf and managed to shed over 100lbs thanks to healthier diet plans and grueling workouts.

“I allowed myself a $50 shopping budget every single week at the grocery store and because of that low budget, I wasn’t able to buy other things that would break [my diet],” he revealed.

“I didn’t eat for pleasure. My eating is now for nutrition and survival.”

The model-turned-actor also transformed his smile with a set of implants. He appeared on the Instagram feed of LA dentist Dr. Kam Kamangar, who shared before and after photos of the work that he had done to the model’s teeth.

His Hollywood transformation opened the doors to modeling and acting gigs and in 2016, he landed a role in Britney’s Slumber Party video.
