Riley Keough has left fans in tears after she paid a heartbreaking tribute to her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, on the first Mother’s Day since her sudden death.
Lisa Marie died on January 12 after going into cardiac arrest – only days after making a final public appearance at the 80th Golden Globes Awards.
According to reports, a housekeeper found the 54-year-old unresponsive in her bedroom. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, performed CPR on her until emergency services arrived.
Lisa Marie was buried at Graceland in Memphis, alongside her father, her son Benjamin who passed away at the age of 27, her paternal grandparents, and her paternal great-grandmother.
She left behind three daughters: Riley, 33, and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood, 14.
On Sunday, Keough shared a photo of her parents as they posed alongside her as a baby. She captioned her post: “Lucky to have had the best and most deeply loving mama I could have asked for.”
Fans immediately flocked to the comments section with heartfelt messages, with one fan writing: “Your mom is with you and your sisters always Riley. Watching over you with [love]. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your family.”
Another said: “Riley, Sending so much love to you Harper and Finley today. Praying the legacy of her love will be with you girls every day of your lives. You are such a strong, beautiful young woman and I admire you! Happy Mother’s Day too you.”
