Reese Witherspoon has finally broken her silence amid rumors that she is dating Kevin Costner, 68.
Speculations started following The Bodyguard actor and the Legally Blonde star’s divorces. A poll set up by Naughty but Nice podcast host Rob Shuter on X (formerly Twitter) ignited the rumors even further.
Fans have mixed reactions to the poll asking if people support the potential pairing of Witherspoon and Costner, with many questioning the appropriateness of the relationship while others couldn’t contain their excitement.
One fan wrote: “Kevin Costner is dating Reese Witherspoon? What??? You go boy!!! You go girl!!”
Another commented: “So there’s rumors of Kevin Costner and Reese Witherspoon dating?! She’s 47, he’s what, 68ish? Those two? Really?”
Witherspoon spoke out to finally put an end to the rumors. Her representatives denied any romantic involvement between the two.
“This story is completely fabricated and not true,” they told Page Six.
This comes after Witherspoon filed for divorce from Jim Toth, with whom she shares a son, 11.
The actress and her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe also share two children, Ava, 24, and Deacon, 20.
Costner and his wife of almost two decades, Christine Baumgartner, have also decided to separate.
Baumgartner previously made headlines claiming that her estranged husband told their children – Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 – about their split in a 10-minute video call.
She shared how she was left disappointed and baffled by the actor’s way of handling the situation as he was about to return home only a few days later.
This is not the first time that Witherspoon’s representatives have denied such rumors. In April, her reps denied that she was dating Tom Brady and explained that the two had never met.
