The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked their youngest child Prince Louis, 4, to school, but the cheeky royal did not want to be seen holding hands with his father.
Louis was holding only his mother’s hand as they walked into the grounds of Lambrook School where he was dropped off for his first day of class.
Kate was holding the hands of both her sons Louis and Prince George while wearing a big smile.
Prince William was seen holding the hand of Princess Charlotte and trying to grab the attention of the youngest Cambridge.
But Louis believes that he is already too old to be seen holding his father’s hand.
The Duke of Cambridge conceded defeat and simply stroke the back of Louis’ head, which he immediately shook off.
As they came closer to the school, the four-year-old broke out a huge smile as they were greeted by headmaster Jonathan Perry.
“Welcome to Lambrook,” Mr. Perry said to the children. “It’s lovely to have you with us. We’re very excited for the year ahead.”
“Are you excited?” he asked, to which the children replied in unison: “Yes.”
His wife Jenny, a member of the pastoral team, was also waiting in the doorway and greeted the family with ‘Welcome back to Lambrook.’
William and Kate could be heard talking to their children during the final moments of the preparation.
According to reports, the couple have visited the prep school numerous time before choosing it for their children.
The duke and duchess went inside the building with their children for refreshments before George, Charlotte and Louis went to their classrooms.
