Prince Harry has radiated sadness and looked incredibly miserable ever since he and Meghan left the UK, a royal biographer claims.
Hugo Vickers is a British writer and royal author who spoke out and suggested Prince Harry hasn’t been the same ever since he and Meghan Markle left their lives as working royals behind and moved to the US.
While the Duke of Sussex may want to appear confident and content, his eyes have been betraying him by “radiating” sadness ever since he cut ties with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William, Vickers says.
A similar sadness was previously radiated by Edward VIII who abdicated the throne after just 325 days to pursue his romance with Wallis Simpson, a divorcee from the States.
While the former King of England never expressed any regret over his decision to leave his life as a working royal behind, Vickers suggests he never before saw “anyone with such sad eyes.”
“If you woke him up at 4 am and asked if he had any regrets he would have said no. But if you want to know what he really thought, look at his eyes,” the author said of King Edward VIII.
Drawing a comparison between the former king and Prince Harry, he added: “As for the Duke of Sussex, who knows what’s going to happen to him? I think he looks thoroughly miserable.”
Vickers went on to point out a big risk in King Charles III’s plans to scale down the number of working royals saying there won’t be enough people left to entertain all the connections the Royal Family has with other nations and organizations.
“I don’t know how you can have a slimmed-down monarchy because people do want to see them,” the author added.
“The Queen and Prince Philip had about 2,000 organizations between them. You’ve lost Prince Andrew and Prince Harry. Who’s going to do it?”
