The frail frontman told Genesis fans that he will now have to find a real job as the iconic band performed their last show on their The Last Domino Tour.

Phil sat down during his performance due to a number of different medical conditions but he later joined Tony, 72, and Mike, 71, for a standing ovation.

It was in the 1970s when Genesis first found fame and has sold over 100 million records.

“It’s the last stop of our tour, and it’s the last show for Genesis. After tonight we all have to get real jobs,” Phil told their fans.

Phil has been sitting down for all three London concerts due to his back problems and his son, 20-year-old Nic Collins, played the drums for him.

Peter Gabriel, one of the original members, did not join the trio for the last concern, and neither did Steve Hackett, who joined the band in 1971.

Geneses was originally comprised of singer Peter, Tony, drummer Chris Stewart, and guitarist Anthony Phillips and Mike.

One fan commented: “Sad he is in so such pain. He wouldn’t have had to do this if he hadn’t had so many divorces to pay for. Why aren’t these people given sound advice about having a pension. You can’t work forever and why should you.”

Another wrote: “Thanks chaps you are one of the greatest bands there’s ever was, Thankyou again for the music legacy left behind, and wonderful memories.”

A third added: “Phil still has “It”, although body and voice are weaker. Still a great, funny entertainer. Peter Gabriel was in the audience watching the end of the band he had started with Tony, Mike and Ant back in 1967. Respect to Nick Collins, who was amazing.”
