JUST IN: Photo Of Paparazzi Hounding Harry And Meghan Actually Shows Photographers Taking Pictures At Harry Potter Film Premiere In 2011

An image used in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix trailer showing paparazzi hounding them was actually taken during a Harry Potter premiere in 2011 – five years before they met.

The picture shows hundreds of paparazzi fighting for space to take photos of Meghan and Harry but the photographers were actually next to the red carpet at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two.

At the event, author JK Rowling was joined by the movie’s three main stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rubert Grint, and Emma Watson for the premiere in central London.

It is also understood that no members of the Royal Family attended the 2011 premiere.

The image was shown as the Duke of Sussex narrates gravely: “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”

Speaking to The Sun, Royal expert Ingrid Seward said: “I don’t imagine Harry would have realized, but Netflix have been careless here as it weakens Harry’s comment about protecting his family. This fake picture weakens his point.”
