Nick Cannon’s pregnant partner, Abby De La Rosa, has spoken out and defended their polyamorous relationship just after the TV personality revealed that he just welcomed his ninth child with another woman.
Abby, who gave birth to twins Zion and Zillion in June 2021, admitted that she has received negative remarks over their unique relationship but she revealed that she considers him as her ‘primary partner.’
She is currently pregnant with their third child – Cannon’s tenth.
Speaking with podcast host Shan Boodram, Abby shared how being a part of Cannon’s growing family has positively affected her life.
“Being in a polyamorous relationship doesn’t mean you have low self-esteem or self-worth,” she expressed.
She admitted that Cannon is not perfect and that se could see his faults when it comes to his ‘ample amount of kids.’
“Now don’t get me wrong, we’re all human. Nick is not perfect,” she expressed.
Abby also told the podcast host that she has ‘trust’ in her ‘connection’ with the TV host.
Even though Cannon is actively involved with other women, she has decided to be monogamous with him.
“I think I see monogamy for myself down the line, and this won’t get me there. But I love where I’m at, at this very moment. It’s just not my forever.”
The pregnant mother also opened up about the criticism she has received over her relationship with Cannon.
“I’ve never been hit with thousands of people just telling me their hate for me. His track record of relationships at the time had been maybe more intensified,” she shared.
“He had a lover over here that, they were going strong and they had been involved for years. Then he had another beautiful family over here that he has.”
Referring to Mariah Carey, Abby said that Cannon has an ex-wife ‘who is the queen of all queens.’
Cannon is also expecting his eleventh child with Brittany Bell.
“I become hypersensitive when people attack me and my motherhood. When it comes to being a mom, I don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface,” she expressed.
“Me being open in my relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother that I am to my kids and the wholeness that I am to them and the strength that I share with them,” Abby added.
She also said that she was ‘excited’ for her kids to grow up and ‘do it their own way.’
