Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied have reportedly separated after eleven years of marriage after claims he had an affair with another woman.

A source told Us Weekly: “After news of his affair came out, they’ve been trying to work on their marriage but are currently on the outs.”

Speculations about their separation reignited when Portman was seen without her wedding during an Angel City FC event in Australia.

It was in June when reports claimed that Millepied was having an affair with 25-year-old climate activist Camille Etienne.

A source told the news outlet at that time that the actress remained committed to their marriage despite the alleged affair and how she was left ‘humiliated.’

“Natalie believes Benjamin’s affair was a brief and stupid liaison that means nothing to him,” the insider said, adding that Portman was “willing to see if she’s capable of rebuilding her trust” in her husband to make sure that their children do not “grow up in a broken home.”

Another source said that Portman did not know if she and her husband could still repair their marriage after the affair.

“Right now, they are talking and working on it together for the sake of their children.”

The couple first met in 2009 while working on the thriller movie Black Swan

“I met my husband on it, so I think I was in, like, dreamland,” she said during a Sirius XM Town Hall interview. “He was teaching me to dance. You know, one of those romantic [stories] … It was definitely exciting and fun. It was beautiful. I don’t know about instant. It was like I really got to know him and that was when it seemed like, ‘Oh this is the person.’”
