A woman who spent her whole life explaining the meaning of her name to everyone she meets said she can’t understand why others think her name is weird.
The woman took to TikTok and explained that she was named after the day on which she was born – Tuesday.
Most people say her name is bizarre and she has never understood why everyone she meets thinks it is unusual.
Tuesday asked fellow TikTok users what they think of her name and she has received hundreds of comments.
“What’s the weirdest thing you have named your child?” one woman asked, to which Tuesday quickly responded: “Ok so even though people still act like it’s weird. Y’all let me know is it weird?
“My name’s Tuesday. I don’t think that’s a weird name.”
TikTokers who viewed Tuesday’s video praised her for her unique name, with one person writing: “I love it.”
Another wrote: “Not weird at all! If you were named Thursday, well…. But Tuesday is cool!”
A third said: “I think it’s a cute name.”
Someone else added: “Nothing weird about the name Tuesday… it is original.”
Another woman was forced to change her name as a child as she was bullied for her real name.
19-year-old Jasmine Dagless was named Ikea by her parents after her mother saw the TV commercial for the furniture store.
But when Ikea grew up, she was dubbed ‘flat pack’ by her schoolmates who would make cruel jokes about her name.
When she finally had enough after years of insults, she legally changed her name to Jasmine.
