Becky Crandley is a 30-year-old mother from Kent, England, who was furious when she learned that her 12-year-old son had been disrespecting his teachers and school staff after exhibiting bad behavior over the past year.

Determined to teach the boy a lesson in humility, the mother showed up unannounced in her math class at Sittingbourne Community College. What’s more, Becky sat herself down right next to her son in an attempt to get her point across.

As the mother explained, she asked her son’s teachers for permission to join the class, and after two incidents involving the boy they gladly agreed.

“It all started last year with his behavior change, it’s part of growing up I think, but it’s his rudeness and disrespect I cannot stand,” Becky explained.

“I constantly threatened that I’d sit with him in school if needed, and he always laughed it off. He didn’t have a clue, and he was very embarrassed for sure, I was introduced as his mum.”

The mother, who has since been praised for her actions, also took the matter to Facebook as she suggested “today’s children are getting worse by the second” when it comes to respecting other people.

“Most people know I’m a big softy when it comes to my kids but I’m also straight up and try my hardest to teach them the right way in life,” Becky wrote.

“One thing I will not tolerate is disrespect from my sons towards any woman and my eldest has been rude recently in secondary school towards his female teachers.

“If only I got a picture of his face when I walked in and sat down next to him, he went so red there’s nothing I can compare it to.”
