A young mother has sparked fury after suggesting that only lazy women take maternity leave.

29-year-old Jaelyn Cox from Scotland is a mother of two, OnlyFans model, and exotic dancer who divided the internet after saying women should go to the gym and get back in shape right after giving birth.

She also revealed she returned to her dancing job just five days after welcoming her second child as she insisted sitting at home after giving birth makes women gain weight and become depressed.

“I think those people are just lazy and looking for an excuse. It’s important to not let being a mum take over your life. Every kid needs a happy mum and having a break from your kids is good thing,” Cox admitted in an interview with The Sun.

“I think it’s important to get back to your old life and back into a work routine. Sitting about the house and letting ‘being a mum’ take over your life is only going to make you depressed.”

The young mom went on to suggest that the right time for women to start dieting and go back to being physically active is as soon as the second week after they give birth.

“A lot of woman let themselves go after giving birth and put weight on,” she added.

“Then their partner ends up cheating on them because they’re not the same person they were before giving birth.”

After sharing her controversial thoughts in the candid interview, the mother-of-two received mixed responses. While some people defended her saying she was only telling the truth, others slammed her for suggesting that mothers who take more time off work to bond with their babies are lazy.

“Good on her. Back in the day in my mum’s village, women there would give birth and be back on the fields in two days with the baby strapped on their back,” someone wrote.

“I had a C-section and by the end of the week I felt well enough to go back to school and do work around the house again,” another said.

A third argued: “How could someone shame a mom for wanting to be home? I unfortunately have to work but if given the opportunity, I’d stay home in a heartbeat!”
