‘My Mother-In-Law Looked Happy With Herself After Breaking My Daughter’s Heart After Telling Her The Truth About Santa’

A furious mom has shared how her mother-in-law broke her daughter’s heart after telling her the truth about Santa.

Writing on Reddit, the mom explained that her daughter is a firm believer in Santa.

But when she asked what she was going to ask Santa in her letter, her grandmother immediately said that her parents buy her Christmas gifts and put them under the tree.

“It went over like a lead balloon with my child,” the mother expressed.

“My mother-in-law looked pretty happy with herself for the s**t storm she just created for me, and breaking my daughter’s heart.”

The child’s dad was also ‘shattered’ that his mom would ‘ruin’ the magic of Christmas for her granddaughter.

But the mother-in-law defended her actions and said that she did them a favor.

“She said that our child shouldn’t be thanking a man who doesn’t exist for the nice things we do for her. I slammed the door in her face. I also told her I was very sorry she let the dev*l breed hate in her heart,” the angry mom continued.

She received text messages and calls from relatives who said she should apologize to her mother-in-law.

“I’m still angry. I can’t really judge for myself if I’m in the wrong or not, but I don’t think I am. I think she crossed a line and I’m justified not letting her have a future relationship with my daughter or any other children we might have,” she added.

Many Reddit users shared their thoughts on the matter, with one person commenting: “Tell your daughter when some people get old and grumpy they forget Santa is real. But Santa will always be there for those who remember his magic.”

Another said: “She doesn’t deserve an apology. I would block her number and reduce contact. Good thing your husband is on your side.”
