A mother has been branded as “arrogant” and “entitled” after slamming fellow train passengers who refused to give up their seats for her young son.

Kelly, who is believed to be from London, England, sparked a furious debate after blasting people who didn’t make way for her son, who appears to be between 7 and 12 years old, as he was sitting on the aisle floor of a packed train car.

In the photo shared by the mother, the boy can be seen squeezed in between two rows of seats with older passengers seated next to him.

“All these oblivious people are watching my baby sit on the floor in the priority seats area,” the fuming mom wrote. “It’s called human decency.”

Soon enough, however, her comments backfired and thousands of people called the mother out for expecting people to move for her child.

While some people agreed with the woman, the majority suggested that priority seats are reserved for disabled, pregnant, and elderly passengers.

“Kids don’t take priority seats. Disabled people, pregnant women, the elderly, or babies in arms,” someone wrote.

“It’s actually common courtesy and good manners for a child to give up their seat for an older person, well it was when I was a child,” another said.

“When I was young my parents would always tell me to give up my seat for passengers who needed it more. Your child can stand or sit on the floor without a problem,” a third raged.

One user insisted: “My kids move for an elderly person, it’s called respect.”
