In March 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey and criticized the Royal Famiily.

A source told Closer that the TV host is trusted by the Duchess, who spends a lot of time with other celebrities living in the area.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan have befriended James Corden, Serena Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, and their neighbors Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.

The insider also said that Meghan and Oprah share ‘everything’ as they hang out together all the time.

“(Meghan) spends a fair amount of time at Oprah’s palatial house, where they’ll kick back with her closest friend, Gayle King, and talk about everything from Meghan’s future plans to what’s going on back in the UK and how Harry’s coping with everything,” the source said, according to Express.

The source went on: “Despite her former acting career, she doesn’t go to the movies much but they’ve been known to watch screenings at Oprah’s place, and other power players in LA have hosted them for dinner parties and spiritual gatherings.”

Speaking about the Duchess, the source said: “If she’s going into Beverly Hills or West Hollywood for lunch or dinner, she’ll generally call ahead and request a table that is completely secluded.”

Some of Meghan’s favorite places were not popular, like Mexican places in the area where she grew up.

“But, generally speaking, these days she likes higher-end hangouts like Cecconi’s, Sunset Tower, Sugarfish or Lucky’s steakhouse in Montecito, which was recommended to them by Oprah,” the source added.
