The Duchess of Sussex was seen cheering Prince Harry on as the duke’s team lost the polo semi-final on Friday.
Meghan Markle sported a denim shirt, matching denim shorts, and a pair of leather sandals as she watched her husband from the side of the polo field in Santa Barbara.
Wearing sunglasses, the mother-of-two watched the game intently while drinking lemonade.
The Duke of Sussex joined the Los Padres polo team in May and has spent several weeks playing with his teammates.
The team, which was founded by Nacho Figueras – an Argentine polo professional and a friend of the duke – competes in the Pacific Coast Circuit Inter-Circuit Cup.
Meghan was cheering from the sidelines next to Figueras’ wife Delfina Blaquir.
During intervals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat and chatted under an awning.
Harry’s team was playing against the Folded Hills team and were hoping to win through to the finals but lost the match.
This comes as Prince William’s friends revealed how Harry’s relationship with the Duke of Cambridge is still at ‘rock bottom.’
One friend said: “He alternates between grieving for what he has lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother has done. He truly loves Harry and feels he has lost the only person, aside from his wife, who understood this strange life of theirs.
“But he believes there are things you just don’t do. And Harry has 100 per cent crossed that line.”
When asked whether they found the brothers’ bond would ever be repaired, one friend told Daily Mail: “Truthfully, William thinks Harry has been sucked into an alien world and there’s f*** all he can do about it.
“But he does want Harry to be happy, and if he stops throwing dust in their faces, then maybe he will find a way to forgive and forget.”
