60-Year-Old Man Received A Movie Ticket, Bag Of Candies And Some Pens After Working For Burger King For 27 Years


A 60-year-old man who worked for Burger King for 27 years took to social media and shared that he received a movie ticket, a coffee tumbler, some pens, and candy for almost three decades of service.

Kevin Ford started working at Burger King as a single father to gain custody of his children, his daughter Seryna explained on a GoFundMe that has received almost $80,000 after his video went viral on social media.

“My dad continues to work here, because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age and leaving would cost him his retirement,” she wrote.

Seryna also said that her father is not expecting any money but he would love to go visit his grandchildren.

The overwhelming support left the family in tears as the fundraising has reached almost $80,000 in just three days.

In an update, Seryna wrote: “I’m here trying to get through dinner without crying! You are such remarkable people. I seriously can’t believe this. Y’all are changing his life!”

Celebrity comedian David Spade also sent the hardworking dad a generous $5,000 gift. “Keep up the good work. 27 years,” he wrote to Ford on Instagram.

The surprised father replied: “Holy s*** dude,” with three shocked face emojis.

“THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! For even watching the video! I love you my brother!!! Much love and God Bless… I think might be able to take a day off…” he added.

Spade then joked back and said he should “wait till year 30” before taking a day off.

In Ford’s viral video, he praised Burger King for giving him a movie ticket, a Starbucks cup, two pens, keychains, and a bag of candies for his hard work at the company.

“Loyalty pays off,” he wrote.

But many Twitter users were shocked that BK did not do more for the hardworking dad.
