A middle-aged man has sparked fury after saying he would rather be single for the rest of his life than date “ugly” women.

42-year-old Kevin from Methil, Scotland, is a single mechanist who opened up about beauty standards women should follow to have any chance at all with him.

As the man claimed, he will never “settle for second best” even though his “lifestyle choice” might leave him single forever.

He also insisted that he knows he can “pull reasonable women” while admitting things get harder when you aim for a “busty” partner with long hair and a “high-end appearance.”

“I’m not saying I’m Brad Pitt but I know I can pull reasonable women,” Kevin said in an interview with The Sun.

“It does make it harder to find someone if you’re only going for the high-end appearance.”

Making his search for the “perfect” partner even harder is the fact that Kevin is staying away from bars and drinking for personal reasons.

He also hasn’t found much luck on online dating apps saying the only replies he gets are from women he is not interested in because of their looks.

Despite having little success in the dating scene for the last few years, Kevin admitted he isn’t willing to lower his standards.

His “lifestyle choice” has since gone viral with the majority of social media viewers slamming the man and telling him to get real.

“And that’s why you are single,” someone wrote.

“To be perfectly honest you’re not that good looking yourself, get real,” another said.

A third posted: “I’m attractive and busty and I’d pass.”
