A man is desperately looking for a girl he fell in love with while on a holiday more than 10 years ago after he found their old love letters.

Jordan Scott was left brokenhearted after he found a collection of old love letters from his teenage sweetheart.

He is now desperate to rekindle the romance with his former crush he met 12 years ago.

Speaking to HullLive, Jordan said he was 14 when he met a 13-year-old girl named Katie while on a trip to Perpignan, France.

“She made me laugh and smile,” he told the news outlet.

When Jordan went back home to East Yorkshire and Katie returned to West Midlands, the young girl sent love letters to the teen telling him how much she ‘loved him.’

“My world lights up when I see you and it makes me have butterflies,” one of the letters said.

After discovering the love letters in his bedroom, Jordan now wants to rekindle the romance with his teenage sweetheart.

He said that finding the letters left him ‘heartbroken’ and it ‘feels like I have lost a loved one.’

“At the time I stayed in touch with her, but then lost contact after so long,” he said-

“Now I have found these letters, I want to see if I can rekindle the love and ask her questions.”

In an attempt to find Katie, Jordan took to Facebook and shared some photos of their letters, writing: “Anyone know a Katie from West Midlands. Get in touch, we will have a chat. I miss you I remember we was together on holiday about 12 years ago.”

One person commented: “Get it on Twitter Jord, hope you find your soulmate.”

Another wrote: “That’s my neck of the woods.. might know her.”
