Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly had Lilibet christened at their home in Montecito last week. They officially started calling her ‘Princess’ and their son Archie ‘Prince.’

Sources claimed that the King, Queen, and Prince and Princess of Wales were invited to the occasion.

According to the Mirror, Buckingham Palace refused to confirm and said it was a private family matter.

“To have the two most senior royals and their wives fly to the States for Lilibet’s christening would have been a massive operation both in terms of security and planning,” an insider said to the news outlet.

“Under the cardinal rule for royal travel, Charles and William cannot fly together so it would have needed at least two flights to have them attend.

The move to begin using the royal titles came two years after the Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

During the bombshell interview, the couple claimed that Archie was not given the Prince title because of his race.

They also claimed that a senior royal questioned the skin color of their child.

Days after the interview, Prince William defended The Firm and said that they are ‘very much not a rac*st family.’

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan confirmed the christening and the use of royal titles, saying: “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3, by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Reverend John Taylor.”

An insider said that around 25 people attended the ceremony.

It is not clear if Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, was invited but sources told the Mirror that he wasn’t.
