Kim Kardashian has opened up about her struggles as a single mother despite getting a lot of help with her children.
The SKIMS founder and her ex-husband Kanye West share four children together: North, 10, Chicago, 5, Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4.
During an interview with Jay Shetty’s podcast, the reality star described parenting and said: “Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement.”
She continued: “So, like, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding… there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness.”
Kim also admitted to being so overwhelmed that she no longer knows what’s happening as they ‘all need her’ all at once.
“It has been the most challenging thing,” she expressed. “There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy s***, this f****** tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”
Describing parenting, Kim stated that it “is really f****** hard” but clarified that “it is the most rewarding job in the world.”
“There is nothing that can prepare you. … I don’t care how long you wait. I don’t care what you’re waiting for. You are never prepared,” she continued.
“But you will figure it out, and it will make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out and that you got through the day.”
However, many people were not impressed by her remarks as they noted that she’s getting a huge amount of help unlike other moms who don’t have the same kind of luxury.
Despite the backlash, Kim maintained her stance and said that the struggles “have nothing to do with the amount of help that I have.”
“Obviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful. It’s all about family and enjoying these moments. It takes a village to raise kids but at the end of the day, your kids only want you,” she expressed.
