Kevin Hart has issued a heartbreaking statement after he was left unable to walk.
One of the best actors and comedians in the world, the 44-year-old star is known for his comedy films which feature Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
But Hart has sustained serious injuries after trying to do things that he was able to accomplish when he was younger.
Taking to social media to explain why he ended up in a wheelchair, Hart said: “Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40 is real. To all my men and women out there who are 40 years old and above, it’s not a game.
“Respect that age, respect that age, or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it.”
He continued: “This is a public service announcement because I know people may see me out and I don’t want you to be alarmed, but I’m in a wheelchair.”
The incident happened when the comedian joined a competition with former NFL star Stevan Ridley. They settled a friendly dispute through a race and Hart confidently accepted the challenge.
“I was pretty fast,” the 44-year-old recalled.
But his speed resulted in a far more serious outcome. “Guys, I blew all of my s***. Tore my lower abdomen, my adductors, I tore them.
“I don’t even know what that is, but I tore them. Tore those two. I can’t walk, sit my a** down. This is 44.”
Even though it was obvious that he was frustrated with his current situation, he blamed his own decision-making for the incident.
“What are we competing for at this age, what am I doing? Why did I even race? Stupidest s***, and now I can’t walk ’cause I’m somewhere trying to get the title of the fastest at the barbecue,” he added.

Wishing you the best! Fast healing if possible. I’m 69 and am raising my two young grandsons. It was a lot easier when I was younger. You are amazing at everything you do. Praying for healing. In the meantime do all the doctor tells you. Hugs
While you’re in the chair do some body lifts, meaning use the arms on the chair to lift your body up and down with your arms, it’ll help with rolling the chair around, and it’ll help when you have to get in and out of the chair. When going to bed put your legs onto the bed first, move the leg supports out of the way, Roll up to the side of the bed, lock the wheels, and use your arms to push your body onto the bed, lay over on your side once on top, and you’re done. To get back into the chair just reverse what you did to get on the bed. The arm exercises will help when you have to go to the potty, or take a bath, also get a stool for the tub, make sure it has rubber feet. Good luck, I was in a chair for four months, I broke both legs, since that time as I have learned to walk again, I’ve thought of using the chair.
