Keanu Reeves left staff at a pub in the UK surprised when he made a surprise lunch visit on Saturday afternoon.
The 58-year-old actor was ‘more than happy’ to chat with staff at The Robin Hood in Hertfordshire as he posed with one bartender and thanked the chefs in the kitchen for his lunch.
Speaking to Metro, barmaid Laura Rolfe said: “He came to the bar and ordered a beer (Seafarers Ale) and just walked over to the corner. He ordered fish and chips and Nat’s shepherd’s pie.”
Laura continued: “When I took the cutlery down, I asked, ‘Oh is someone else joining you?’ but he said, ‘No, we want to try both.’ He was with someone else. Presumably a driver or friend, maybe?”
She also said that one of their cooks was so excited he looked like he was going to pass out.
The actor also caused a commotion in August while staying in Northamptonshire to film a Disney+ docuseries.
Keanu posed with adoring fans as he enjoyed dinner at a local pub. He even left a couple astonished when he surprised them at their wedding.
Keanu left customers’ jaws on the floor when he turned up for dinner ‘and a few whiskies’ at The Fox and Hounds in Charwelton, where he posed for photos and chatted with punters.
Landlord Danny Ricks said he had to do a ‘double take’ when the actor entered the pub and sat down at a table with six other people.
“It was bizarre. I had to do a double take when he walked in as I couldn’t quite believe my eyes. I thought ‘that guy looks quite a lot like Keanu Reeves,’” Danny said.
“He sat down with six other TV people, I couldn’t really hear what they were discussing but it all about filming and scripts,” Danny went on.
“He was just a lovely, down to earth guy and was really nice to everyone. Everything nice you would think about him was all true.”
