Kate Middleton, the new Princess of Wales, looked radiant in a Karen Millen dress during her visit to a maternity unit in Guildford.
Her Royal Highness looked stunning in her yellow dress as she held a newborn baby girl named Bianca at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, her maternal instincts very evident.
The mother-of-three spoke with Bianca’s mother, Sylvia Novak, about the care she received from hospital staff.
With only a touch of makeup, minimal eyeshadow and a neutral lip shade, Kate completed her outfit with silver hoops, a navy clutch bag and dark blue stilettos. Her tresses bounced in the wind as she walked to the hospital, where she wore a face mask along the corridors.
She met staff from Jasmine Team, which helps women affected by mental problems during pre and post-natal periods.
The award-winning maternity unit received a UNICEF Baby Friendly initiative Gold Award this year for its outstanding work supporting parent-infant relationships and infant-feeding.
Kate, who has become patron of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, is passionate about the mental wellbeing of women.
She recently released a video stressing the importance of ensuring good mental health among mothers.
“We all know that pregnancy, childbirth and the first months and years of ta child’s live can be hugely demanding,” she said.
“Parents often feel lonely and overwhelmed by these early years. No one is immune to experiencing anxiety and depression during this time.”
The visit is a solo trip for the Princess of Wales as her husband Prince William was carrying out his own duties.
Prince William and Kate were made Prince and Princess of Wales by King Charles III following the death of the beloved Queen Elizabeth.
