JUST IN: Kansas City Chiefs BEAT Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 Thanks To Late-Game Magic From Patrick Mahomes


Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles, thanks to late-game magic from Patrick Mahomes.

On Sunday, Kansas City Chiefs raised the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the biggest night in the NFL calendar – the team’s second title in four seasons.

Instead of resting his injured ankle, Mahomes managed to finish the job and was rewarded with a second ultimate prize.

This was Kansas City Chiefs’ third Super Bowl appearance in four seasons. The team last appeared in 2020 and last won in 2019.

It was also the Philadelphia Eagles’ second Super Bowl appearance in six seasons. They last appeared in 2018 when they took the prize home.

Fans were following the quarterbacks, as both Jalen Hurts and Mahomes sought to be the reigning NFL MVP of the occasion.

A holding penalty by Eagles cornerback James Bradberry gave the Chiefs an opportunity to kick a game-winning field goal with only 8 seconds left, which Harrison Butler nailed from 27 yards.

With three touchdowns, Mahomes finished 21 of 27 for 182 yards. Chiefs scored a touchdown on its first three drives of the second half.

Eagles’ Hurts finished 27 of 37 for 304 yards. He rushed for three TDs and managed to tie the game at 35 with around 5 minutes left.

Into the fourth quarter, the Chiefs made it evident that they were about to take the game right down to the wire with the score of 28-27, leading the game for the first time.

Kadarius Toney made the longest punt return in SB history as he set the Chiefs up in a better position to assert themselves.

Suddenly, the Kansas team was 8 points ahead.

The Eagles then scored another touch down and needed two points two points to level the tie, which Hurts managed to achieve.

In the end, the Chiefs scooped the trophy after what was one of the greatest Super Bowls in history.
