Joe Jonas has been slammed online after claims he filed for divorce from the Game Of Thrones star because she ‘likes to party’.
TMZ previously reported that Sophie Turner has a ‘partying lifestyle’ while the singer likes to stay at home.
“She likes to party and he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles,” a source claimed.
The 34-year-old musician has faced backlash with some accusing him of painting his estranged wife in a bad light.
One person commented: “I’m not the biggest fan of this woman but the way they’re trying to portray Jonas as the ‘poor father of two children who has to stay at home taking care of them while she is wasting time partying’ doesn’t sit right with me really.”
Another said: “Funny how he realized that after 4 years! Disgusting the way he is using his PR to blame her… well fact check Jonas, partying doesn’t make her bad and staying home doesn’t make you the good one!”
A third said: “I think it’s really funny that Joe Jonas said she parties too much when she publicly said she’s an introvert and prefers to stay at home, as well as him being on tour and partying for the past year and a bit basically.”
Someone else added: “She was pregnant half the time they were together but sure… ‘she’s partying too much’ LOL don’t know why Jonas’ team has to paint her as a villain, nobody believes that?! just get a divorce and be nice to each other for heavens sake!’”
This comes after Turner’s friend revealed: “Sophie feels like she’s only just waking up to what her life and reality really is. She became famous at a very young age, then married and had kids at a young age and never really had the teenage years of sleeping around and just having carefree fun with friends.”
The friend also said that Turner feels her life has stalled after the HBO series as well as her personal life.
“Since the kids came along, she’s feeling trapped. She’s the only person in her tight friendship group who is married with two children,” the friend continued, adding that the actress wants to make up for the time she has lost as a young person while Jonas wants a more settled life.
“Joe would like another kid, he’s a real family man. But while Sophie’s been in the UK, she’s also realised just how much she misses this country; it’s the final nail in the coffin for them,” the friend added.
