After Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s tense exchange at the Grammy Awards was caught on camera, the singer has now taken to Instagram and spoke about her husband.
In the viral video of the couple, they were seen exchanging tense words at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
Transcribed by a lipreader commissioned by the Daily Mail, Lopez tells her husband: “Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated.”
Affleck then responds: “I might.”
The Batman star continued to have sad or concerned expression throughout the night, with many saying that he looked like he would rather be somewhere else than watch the ceremony.
“He looks like someone just told him his dog died, come on man,” one Twitter user wrote.
Lopez, 53, has now taken to social media and spoken about her husband in some have described as a ‘damage control’ Instagram post.
Sharing a montage of moments from the ceremony, the singer wrote: “Always the best time with my love, my husband #Grammys…”
But fans were not convinced, with one person commenting: “The epitome of Instagram happiness vs. real life misery. You can’t judge someone by their most beautiful and carefully selected photos… The actual videos and images from the night, purposefully left out of this montage, tell a different story. Can’t always believe whats on Instagram.”
Another wrote: “I don’t know but I get vibes from those two that seem off.”
A third said: “The fantasy of Jen and Ben does not match the reality.”
Some thought Lopez’s post was a PR or damage control post as it was shared after the ‘embarrassing’ interaction went viral.
“Damage control post and he still don’t seem happy!” one commented.
“Great P.R since the whole world saw the energy and its written all over your face darling, your shine has gone, and he looks forced to play along… maybe stay off the cameras and work on yourselves, separately and together. You’ll don’t look happy. Can’t hide energy!” another said.
