Jada Pinkett Smith, 54, will be publishing an autobiography that will include more details of her ‘complicated’ marriage to Will Smith, 54.
The memoir will be released only a year and a half after The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star famously slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars.
Will hit the 57-year-old after he made a joke about Jada’s shaved head by referring to her as a character from the movie G.I. Jane 2.
According to a press release, Jada’s memoir ‘chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey.’
The upcoming biography will be “a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depressions to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power.”
The press release also said that Jada will share her ‘unconventional upbringing’ in Baltimore to a promising theater student.
It will follow Jada’s rise to stardom before she and Will met and fell in love.
The Hollywood couple started dating before the Gemini Man actor was legally divorced from his ex-wife Sheree Zampino.
They got married in 1997 while Jada was pregnant with their first child together, Jaden.
“At the heart of this powerful book, are two unexpected love stories, one being Jada’s complicated marriage to Will Smith, the other being with herself,” the press release added.
Jada and Will eventually became a showbiz power couple. But in the past few years, their problems have been shared with the public as Jada admitted to having an ‘affair’ with musician August Alsina.
In an interview with GQ magazine, Will said that “marriage for us can’t be a prison,” adding his wife “never believed in conventional marriage.”
