The Duke of Sussex could ‘want an apology from the royal family’ after he and the Duchess of Sussex were ‘largely ignored’ during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, biographer Angela Levin claimed.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan made one public appearance during the festivities but Levin said it was evident the duke was ‘unhappy.’
The Queen also met their daughter but the couple’s request for a photograph of Her Majesty finally meeting Lilibet was allegedly turned down.
Levin, who spent a year with the Duke, has claimed that Harry is likely to feel like he is ‘owed an apology’ as he and his wife were ‘largely ignored’ during the four-day celebrations.
She also said that the father-of-two is allegedly ‘absolutely furious’ about what happened.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “The thing that really stood out for me on that day was Harry’s anger – he wears his emotions on his face and he looked absolutely furious.”
“I think it’s quite interesting really – he could have been feeling lots of things. I don’t know whether he had a wave of feeling at what he had given up,” Levin continued.
“I think he would have been very, very upset that he was largely ignored. He still feels he’s owed an apology.”
But she also said that Harry is “the one who should apologize,” adding that the Sussexes did not check Prince William and Kate’s schedule before inviting them to Lilibet’s birthday party at Frogmore Cottage.
During Lilibet’s first birthday party, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Wales with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
