The Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to the UK with their children Archie and Lilibet for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
But a royal expert has claimed that instead of trying to ‘mend fences,’ Prince Harry and Meghan ran into a ‘brick hall’ with senior royals.
It has also been claimed that the Queen banned Harry and Meghan from having a private photographer capture the first meeting between the monarch and her great-granddaughter Lilibet.
The 96-year-old monarch is said to have finally met Harry and Meghan’s youngest but they were allegedly told ‘no chance’ of an official photo as it was a ‘private moment.’
Palace insiders may have been concerned that any pictures taken by the Sussexes could be shared with TV networks in the U.S.
Author Duncan Larcombe has now claimed that the ‘test now begins’ for Harry and Meghan, saying they are at risk of being ‘cut off’ if they share any private moments from the Jubilee.
Speaking with Closer magazine, the royal biographer said: “If anything from the weekend leaked, I imagine they will be totally cut off and that’ll be it.”
“They have come to the UK and to the Jubilee and really cemented themselves as royals again, which is great for their brand and something that Spotify, Netflix and Penguin will be eating up,” he explained, adding how the couple’s ‘behavior going forward’ would determine their future with the Royal family.
Larcombe said that the royal family had “extended an olive branch” to the Sussexes at the Jubilee, but “Harry and Meghan would ruin that if any private information about this weekend was spoken about to the press or revealed in a book.”
According to reports, the couple did not spend any private time with Harry’s brother Prince William, his wife Kate, and their children George, Charlotte and Louis during the Jubilee, with an insider saying that the relationship between the brothers remains ‘fraught.’
