The stunning couple who made headlines thanks to their massive age gap have revealed they had split after two years of marriage.
83-year-old British pensioner Iris Jones made news when she announced her relationship with Egyptian toyboy Mohamed Ibriham who is 46 years her junior.
Just over a year after the pair met on Facebook in 2019, Mohamed and Iris tied the knot and went on to brag about their active s*x life following the man’s migration to the UK on a three-year visa he was granted in 2021.
As it happens, however, all good things come to an end, and the couple’s relationship didn’t last long after they moved in together.
Jones now spoke to Closer and revealed that she and Mohamed had split. She also elaborated on the reasons that led to the breakup.
“I adored everything about Mohammed. But it became hard work. We used to have a great sex life but then, rather than making love, we ended up arguing all the time about anything and everything. I can’t be doing with that. I’m not a lovesick teenager. I’m 83,” the grandmother said.
Jones went on to admit that she now prefers the company of her pet cat who “never complains” and is very “beautiful to look at.”
“I got him just a few days after Mohammed moved out and he’s the perfect companion. He never complains, is very quiet and beautiful to look at – I adore him,” she added.
“And he’s very happy here and doesn’t create a mess, I’m not missing Mohammed at all, the thing that annoyed me the most when he left was he took my tempura battered prawns that I’d planned for my dinner that night.”

Some people are just very foolish. He probably said all the right things at the beginning. Can you say, green card ? I went on a dating app for a little while. It’s amazing how many people contacted me from foreign countries. I never even responded to anyone who did not live in the US. No thanks.
