Dog the Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Lee Chapman, has left fans shocked after revealing that he has a secret son who was born on the same day his wife passed away.
Taking to Instagram on the fourth death anniversary of his late wife, Beth Chapman, he revealed that a previously heartbreaking day has turned bittersweet.
“For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life. But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day,” he wrote.
“So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning. This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi,” Chapman continued.
In the photo, Chapman shared a photo of Jon wearing mutton chops, alongside his new wife. He wore a blue polo shirt and matched it with jeans and shades. Jodi sported a polka dot top and jeans.
“For anyone who has suffered a terrible loss please know God restores and redeems,” Chapman added.
Chapman’s huge family consists of 13 children from different relationships and marriages.
His late wife Beth tragically died at the age of 51 after battling throat cancer in 2019. Two years later, Chapman tied the knot with Francie Frane in a romantic ceremony.
One fan commented: “Just met my son this past Thanksgiving. He is 47 years old.”
Another said: “I’m so thankful God brought your son into your life. God is a Master of restoration!!”
A third added: “Congratulations and wish you guys the best as you bond. Boy is he your twin!!”
