Dave Grohl has proven once again that he is one of the nicest guys in the music industry after he spent 16 hours cooking for 450 homeless people.

The 54-year-old makes headlines after it was revealed that he uses his free time to lend a helping hand to those who are in need.

The Foo Fighters’ lead man collaborated with The Hope Mission to cook BBQ for hundreds of people living in LA shelters.

Dave reportedly showed up at The Hope Mission around midnight with a huge meat smoker and some overnight gear.

It took him 16 hours (2 hours to let the meat rest and 14 hours to cook) whipping up meat and vegetables and he was very hands-on through the entire process.

According to TMZ, Dave paid for everything and even slept in the parking lot while the meat was getting ready.

During the serving time, the rock star chatted with The Hope Mission staffers and guests staying in the shelter.

The barbecue feast fed 450 guests alongside 50 members of staff.

It has been a difficult year for Grohl and his bandmates after Taylor Hawkins passed away in March 2022 while they were on tour.

Hawkins reportedly experienced chest pains in his hotel room in Colombia and was found unresponsive by paramedics.

The band arranged two tribute concerts in London and Los Angeles after canceling their shows after the tragedy.

Taking to Instagram, Foo Fighters issued a statement and said that they would be moving forward without Hawkins.

“As we say goodbye to the most difficult and tragic year that our band has ever known, we are reminded of how thankful we are for the people that we love and cherish most, and for the loved ones who are no longer with us.”
