A woman has shared how her date told her that she’s not beautiful enough for him to pay for dinner and even asked for her credit card to make it look like he was the one who paid for their meal.
Winta Zesu took to Instagram and shared the clip, which amassed over 286,000 likes and more than 3,400 comments.
In the viral video, she can be seen enjoying her salad when her date asked: “Can you slow down? Why are you eating so fast? The food’s not going anywhere.”
Her date asked again: “Are you enjoying this date or not? Like I feel like you’re just eating and you’re gonna leave.”
Zesu then replied: “I am.” When she asked why he took her out if he did not want her to eat, he said that he wanted to ‘talk’ and ‘get to know’ her.
He also told her: “Slide me your credit card under the table so it looks like I paid for the dinner.”
When she asked why, he said he had a reputation to maintain in the restaurant.
Zesu then said: “Can you actually pay for it and leave?” to which he responded: “You’re just not pretty enough for me to pay for this dinner.”
She then told her date that she did not bring her card so she could not pay for their meal, which he described as ‘unladylike.’
He also claimed that it was bad manners to expect him to pay for her. “I thought you were rich. You told me you come from a wealthy family,” he added.
The video ended with Zesu telling her date: “I really don’t care, can you stop talking? I’m trying to eat and leave. Have a good night though.”
Viewers quickly shared their thoughts on the situation, with one person writing: “IMAGINE saying she ain’t pretty enough to eat for free. LOOK at her.”
Another said: “And she never stop eating, go queen.”
A third added: “Dude just unloaded 1 1/2yrs worth of relationship toxicity and manipulation in one date. How sad.”
