Christina Applegate has left people heartbroken after she shared a health update amid her multiple sclerosis battle.
The 52-year-old actress also revealed that it was very difficult for her to attend the 2024 Emmy Awards in January.
In an interview on Good Morning America, she told Robin Roberts how she ‘freaked out’ when she presented the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
“I actually kind of blacked out,” she revealed. “People said, ‘oh you were so funny,’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t even know what I said.’
“I don’t know what I was doing, I got so freaked out that I didn’t even know what was happening anymore.”
Applegate explained that she felt people’s love when she made an appearance at the 75th Emmy Awards.
“I live kind of in hell…” she said. “I’m not out a lot so this is like a little difficult just for my system, but yeah of course the support is wonderful and I’m really grateful.”
Christina wowed the crowd when she took to the stage at the Peacock Theater sporting a floor-length burgundy velvet dress.
After receiving a standing ovation, she made light of the situation and said: “You’re totally shaming with disability by standing up, it’s fine!”
Speaking about that beautiful moment, she made another joke to Robin: “’I’m just going to say this, that audience stood up for everybody!”
