Cher has shared more details about her relationship with her 37-year-old beau and admitted that their 40-year age gap is noticeable.
The 77-year-old diva said in an interview with Extra that they are happy even though Alexander Edwards does not always understand what she’s talking about.
“I hate to talk about how happy I am, but no, we have a great time together. We can talk music.,” the singer expressed.
Cher said that they can talk about almost everything, adding that her partner has a great sense of humor.
“He’s got the cutest son in the world, ever,” she went on. “We just get each other.”
Speaking about their age gap, she joked: “Sometimes I’m talking to him and he has no idea who I’m talking about.
“The other day, I said, ‘Do you know who, I don’t know, Clark Gable, [is]?’ He said, ‘Yes, of course,’ but most of my references… He’ll look at me and go, ‘I wasn’t born yet.’”
It was in October 2022 when the couple first met at Paris Fashion Week after a mutual friend gave A.E. her number.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Cher said that she was shocked as her friends don’t just give her number away.
“I had been telling all my friends, ‘We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.’ So I did what I said not to do!” she said.
Only months later, Cher sparked engagement rumors after she showed off her huge diamond ring.
Sharing a photo of her sparkling ring, she wrote: “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.”
Before dating the Turn Back Time singer, Alexander was in a whirlwind relationship with Kanye West’s ex, Amber Rose.
