JUST IN: Celine Dion, 55, Makes Her First Public Appearance In More Than Three Years As She Battles Neurological Disease Called Stiff-Person Syndrome

Celine Dion has made her first public appearance in more than three years at a hockey game in Las Vegas as her battle with a neurological disease called stiff-person syndrome continues.

The 55-year-old singer was seen in public for the first time in over three years and she seemed to be in high spirits as she greeted fans and players after the game.

Montreal’s vice president of hockey communications, Chantal Machabee, captioned a video shared on Celine’s Instagram: “A great visit to our game in Vegas yesterday.”

In another video, she told coach Martin St. Louis in French: “It’s such an honor to meet you. it was an incredible night.”

Dion was also heard giving advice to players, saying: “Just stay healthy, strong. Do what you do best.”

The Titanic singer was accompanied by her children Nelson, Eddy, and Rene-Charles.

The singer has kept a low profile after she announced last year that she was diagnosed with Moersch-Woltman Syndrome, also called Stiff Person Syndrome.

It was in December when she opened up about her diagnosis, which forced her to cancel her ‘Courage World Tour.’

In an Instagram post on May 26, she wrote: “I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%.”

She continued: “It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.

“I want you all to know, I’m not giving up and I can’t wait to see you again!”
