A teenager who opened his own business has been making rounds on the internet after breaking into tears in his viral video.
18-year-old Tom Oswald from Hahndorf, Australia, is a young entrepreneur with a passion for business who started his own café right after graduating from high school.
While the teen couldn’t wait to work hard to make a living, he was in for a shock when no one outside of his circle of close friends and relatives showed up at his place for the first few days.
In a heartbreaking video, Tom was seen tearing up saying “nobody came” to his café even though he was fully ready for business.
As the teenager later admitted, however, he won’t let the bitter start wear him down or stop him from pursuing his passing.
“The café can get a little bit quiet at times, but it is something I fully expect and do not get down about it,” he admitted in an interview with news.com.au.
“Quiet days give me time to reflect and research, and busy days teach me the importance of efficiency.”
After Tom’s story went viral, thousands of people voiced their support for the young man and urged him to stay strong and patient.
“I’ve never been so invested in a café on the other side of the country,” one person said.
“You are so inspiring, I’m 17 and I wanna open a café. Keep going, man,” another teen explained.
A third advised: “Take your time and don’t expect much profit in the first few years. It takes time to get the name out there, but you seem to be doing great.”

My advice would be maybe to learn to cook a few gluten free cakes make them really flavourfull, also gluten , nut free, a few milk alternative free sandwiches cakes make the vegetarian too I would say vegan. But that’s awg
Hole other area also mention that the gluten free nut free products may be made in areas with normal sandwiches but use different boards untensils put that in Big Writing on menus the wall in advertisements, vegan well to much to go into that really.
This way you are covering three sets of customers in one strike, some really simple things can be done if your willing to be learn to be inclusive.
Good strong advertisment too and try and make your cafe unique , there are at least ten or more food venues in many towns where individuals can buy a coffee Sandwich etc.
So you have to be competitive, don’t outprice yourself especially at the moment when many individuals are finding things difficult.
Also being young try making your cafe unique in its deco, maybe have a few board games like chess, drafts printed to the table tops and keep the drafts behind the counter, also snakes and ladders on another for children, maybe one for individuals to draw colour , a few childrens books adult books on small shelves to read, put the board games tables etc towards the back doted to the middle of the cafe, and make sure to ask individuals who get to excited to just keep things down a bit so the cafe is inclusive to all.
There are lots of things you can do , often individuals who stay play will make aquoet place look busy and so entice customers in, also when individuals play maybe make it a policy to buy a tea coffee soft drink a sandwich and cake make the game free keep cheap sets behind the counter.
You could also call youf drink ,sandwich, cake chess bundles something like checkmate tea plate for two.
That kind of thing
Keep your head up. Do things to get your name out there, have little samples for people to try with a business card to hand them. Ask certin local businesses if they mind displaying a flyer or having business cards by the register. Get involved in local activities, like farmers markets, and stuff like that. Don’t try to think to big at first, it will happen. Many prayers and blessings to you.
