The musician will undergo treatment for peptic ulcer disease and announced that their performances for this month would be rescheduled.

Peptic ulcer disease occurs when ulcers or open sores form in the stomach or part of the small intestine. In many cases, it develops when a bacterial infection eats away the protective lining of the digestive system.

The most common causes are long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. Spicy foods as well as stress can also aggravate the symptoms.

Springsteen and his E Street Band started their 2023 tour in Tampa, Florida then made stops across Europe and North America.

But their next performances will be played at later dates because of the 20-time Grammy Award winner’s health concerns.
