Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, has revealed that they have renewed their wedding vows ten years after they tied the knot.
The couple has experienced a rough period in the past years. Last year, the family announced that the Die Hard actor would be ‘stepping away’ from acting following his diagnosis with aphasia – a brain condition that leaves individuals struggling to communicate.
Just last month, the 68-year-old was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Frontotemporal dementia is a term for a group of brain disorders that affect the temporal and frontal lobes of the brain, according to Mayo Clinic.
These areas of the brain are associated with language, behavior, and personality.
Despite their struggles, Emma continues to support her partner as they prove that love conquers all.
The 44-year-old model took to Instagram and posted a heartwarming video of their celebration, which included their family and close friends.
“On our 10th wedding anniversary we decided to renew our vows in the same place we said ‘I do’ back in 2009,” she captioned her post.
“I’m so happy we did. Seize every opportunity to unite and celebrate with family and friends.
“Those are the moments and beautiful pockets of memories that you get to hold on to for a lifetime. And we get to keep those memories safe and alive for the ones that might not be able to.”
Fans immediately flooded the comments section, with one writing: “This is so touching, so beautiful! Thank you @emmahemingwillis for sharing such an intimate moment. I have loved Bruce with all my heart my entire life.”
Another wrote: “Every little opportunity to be with him and show him your love will be more special for you later. Live in the moment! All this brief moments soon would be your motor and precious memories to keep you going, and bring you happiness later. Happy Anniversary!!”
