Britney Spears has sparked a major concern after she shared a video showing her bandaged finger.
The 41-year-old singer took to Instagram and shared a video of herself dancing while wearing a black top she matched with cheetah print bottoms. But what captured the attention of her more than 42 million followers was the white bandage wrapped around her finger.
Her 47-second video has now been deleted but many fans saved it and shared it on TikTok where it has also gone viral.
Fans were quick to address Britney’s behavior, with many describing the video as ‘bizarre.’
One person commented: “(I) just feel bad for her,” while another wrote: “This is bizarre.”
A third said of another video: “That knife must’ve been sharp with that bandage on your finger.”
The ‘fake knives’ video. which was shared on September 25, shows the singer dancing with large kitchen knives.
She captioned her post: “I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon.”
Britney also told her fans not to worry as she gave a more detailed explanation.
“I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira… a performance I was inspired by !!!”
She added: “Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks.”
But after sharing her video, someone called the police to do a welfare check on her.
In a follow-up post, the furious singer said: “So unacceptable for cops to listen to random fans and come in to my home unwarranted. Can I make calls and make others feel threatened in your home??? The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people did 4 minute performances with knives.”
