Britney Spears’ 15-year-old son, Jayden, has spoken out about the pop star’s ‘attention-seeking’ post and voiced his fears that it ‘may never stop’.
In a pre-recorded segment for ITV News, the teen spoke candidly with the permission of his father Kevin Ferdeline, who was married to Britney from 2004 to 2007.
Jayden, who lives with his 16-year-old brother Sean Preston at Kevin’s home in Los Angeles, said that his strained relationship with his mother can still be fixed but it will take ‘a lot of time.’
The teen also revealed that he wants to see his mother again, adding that he believes her conservatorship went on ‘a little too long.’
Britney’s regular posts on Instagram show her posing without clothes on while addressing her followers with lengthy messages.
“It’s almost as if she has to post something to get attention. This has gone on for years and years and years and this actually may never stop,” Jayden expressed.
According to the Mail, Britney had not seen her sons for several months. Their dad Kevin said the children’s desire to avoid the drama surrounding the singer’s private life was so great they did not even go to her wedding to model Sam Asghari.
Britney then accused her sons of ‘being hateful’ and ‘abandoning her’ in an Instagram post, after which Kevin decided to share videos allegedly showing the mother ‘screaming’ at her children when they were younger. Both deleted.
The pop superstar then shared a now-deleted voice recording in which she claimed that her family ‘literally killed’ her with the conservatorship ordeal.
During the interview with ITV News, Jayden claimed that his mother did not show them love equally and confirmed that they had not seen her in months.
Britney was quick to respond with another Instagram post in which she told Jayden to ‘learn to pick up a book and read one.’ She also accused his father of ‘smoking pot every day’ and that he should ‘try and at least mow the lawn.’
Her husband Sam commented on his wife’s post, writing: “Mowing the lawn > professional baby daddy.”
