A bride was left heartbroken after her groom asked for a divorce only hours after they tied the knot as she did not want to consummate their marriage.
Abbie Chatfield, the host of the radio show Hot Nights, was shocked after a caller revealed that her husband wanted a divorce right after they got married.
“I was married for not even 24 hours before my husband wanted a divorce, and we separated two weeks later,” the caller said.
“The night of the wedding we went out and when we got back to the hotel room, unfortunately, I didn’t give him what he wanted. We were tired. I didn’t want to,” the woman explained.
As they did not make love that night, the groom immediately demanded a divorce the next day.
Chatfield was also stunned by the groom’s quick decision to leave his bride.
“Also, I’ve heard a lot of people don’t have s*x on wedding nights because you’re so tired,” Chatfield said. “What an awful, disgusting man. Men are revolting.”
People on social media were left divided, with one person writing on social media: “According to the story she was tired from the long wedding day and night for that matter. I guess the guy couldn’t wait until morning. His loss for not wanting to understand.”
Another said: “Geeze, maybe it was her time of the month, definitely more to the story.”
A third wrote: “I assume everything was fine while they were dating otherwise they wouldn’t get married. Which means, she stopped as soon as she achieved that goal.”
Someone else added: “There are three sides to every story. His side, her side, and what actually happened.”
