Brad Pitt Is Suing Ex-Wife Angelina Jolie For Selling Share In The Vineyard They Own Together Without His Permission

Hollywood star Brad Pitt has sued his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for ‘selling her share’ in the vineyard they shared together without his permission.

It was in 2008 when Brad and Angelina bought the controlling interest in Chateau Mirava in the south of France, six years before they got married.

The actor revealed that they agreed not to sell their stake of the vineyard without the other person’s permission.

Brad said that his ex-wife sold her share to a Luxembourg-based spirits manufacturer managed by Russian businessman Yuri Shefler.

His lawyers said Chateau Miraval had “become Pitt’s passion.”

Under his stewardship, the vineyard had grown into a “multimillion-dollar international success story.”

The lawsuit claimed that Angelina “sold her interest with the knowledge and intention that Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself and to undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”

Brad’s attorneys said the move had intended to cause “gratuitous harm” to the actor, who had “poured money and sweat equity into the wine business.”

According to reports, the Miraval estate was bought by the couple for around $28 million.

The suit alleges that Angelina “informed Pitt in writing” of her decision to sell her stake in January 2021.

Brad’s lawyers have requested a trial by jury.

The former couple tied the knot in France in 2014 but Angelina filed for divorce only two years later.

They share six children together – twins Vivienne and Knox, 13, Shiloh, 15, Zahara, 16, Pax, 18, and Maddox, 20.

It was reported recently that Brad hopes he and the Maleficent star can move on in the future.

“Brad hopes that one day he and Angelina find a way to forgive each other and move forward, for the kids’ sakes if nothing else. He hates all the bad blood,” a source told US Weekly.
